Antique, Georgian/early Victorian gold, coral and hardstone cameo swag necklace. Made circa 1810-1815.

Measures 18inches long. Weighs 43g. The gold was acid tested and stays for 18k. We will guarrantee at least 15k.

Necklace en esclavage - double gold chains connect 14 cameos. THe lower, longer chains, falling in swags. 9 oval coral cameos depicting busts of lovely women with fabulous hair and locks, all deeply carved in delicate, beautiful detail. The balance are hardstone cameos depicting ancient mythological themes such as Cupid driving horse-drawn carriages, playing his pipes and women/goddess proferring an offering. Each cameo is set in gold, surrounded by large golden granulations.

Very good condition. No damage/restorations of any sort were found.
