The Avery Coonley Playhouse in a suburb of Chicago Illinois, part of a house designed by Frank Lloyd Write in 1907-8. The Playhouse window design by Frank Lloyd Write 1911-12  ..."incorporating images of balloons, American flags and confetti. Measurements: length approx 2 1/4 inches. Weighs 28.7grams.

Classic rectangular shape with rounded edges and folds over itself. The top is superbly decorated with a geometric pattern - circles, squares, rectangles, some

enamelled, including one section in blue, silver and red echoing the American flag. Other areas more subtle in pale yellow, lime green and one block of bright

orange. Design reminiscent of work by Kolomon Moser or Joseph Hoffman at the Wiener Werkstatte. Subtle and sophisticated. <P>
Back is unadorned, but ends short of the top side and curls up gently for ease of manipulting. <P><P>
Hallmarks: Back with engraved TIFFANY & CO STERLING SILVER and 925.

Condition: gently used, but otherwise in very good condition. <P><P>
