Vintage novelty brooch. 18k gold, diamonds, coral, tourmaline and mother of pearl. Made in France by Chaumet, late 20th century.  

Measures slightly under 1 1/4 inches long. Weighs 629 grams.  

Very realistic tiny pencil. Wonderfully modelled and designed. Executed with exquisite craftmanship. The longest part of the pencil is carved natural coral; the

metalwork is 18k gold, the eraser at the back is mother of pearl and the point, made of tourmaline, is mounted in gold with rose cut diamonds set in the shoulders. A

Sheer delight.   C-clasp, hold the pin securely. 

Fully hallmarked with French assay marks, CHAUMET PARIS, 750 (for 18k gold) and serial number 135128.
