Measurements: approx 1 inch long (24.5mm).
Gorgeous Victorian earrings. Typical of the Victorians, who didn't mind mixing up their real gold with gold filled metal, the real and the fake gems. The wires and the center of the earrings are 14k gold, The wreaths are gold filled. The blue sapphire looking stones are paste. The whole is quite lovely. A central band, beneath a ring and overlaid with gold bands, highlighted with taille d'epargne black enamelling. Suspends a loop of 'flowers' - alternating pearls and blue paste. Earrings close from the back, typical of French jewellery. Hinge allows for movement.
Very good condition.
