Measurements: Total length is 1 1/4 inches. Opal is 5mm in diameter (just under 1/4inch). Weighs 8.3 grams.
Exquisite pendant in the form of a snake, it's body coiled around itself in a circle, the head holding a large cabochon opal. The entire body is set with rose cut
diamonds, the largest of which is approximately 0.25ct. Quality of the workmanship is exceptional - see the 'photo of the back of the pendant. The eyes are tiny
rubies. The opal is a wonderful colour - lots of light and fire and ranges in tone from deep blues and greens, through flashes of orange and yellow to paler colours,
depending on the angle of the light. The large loop is perfect for threading a black ribbon or a gold chain.
No hallmarks but tests for 18k gold.
Very good condition.
