Approximately 7 inches (18cm) high.

Double gourd shaped body on a round foot, with two dragon-shaped handles. The ivory porcelain is decorated with painting and gilding in a vignette that has a gold
sponged flaring sun at the feet of one dragon and a delicate spider-web at the other. The dangling spider is about to be caught by a large black bird, with open
mouth. Dragons are in matte gold and pink, green glaze. Bird and spider are with raised gold work, as are details such as the grassy knoll on which the bird stands,
the foliage floating in the air around the scene. Gold rims to the vase.
The book: THe house of Amphora by Richard Scott, explains that this vase originates in the Neo Baroque and Orietalist style of Alfred Stellmacher in the 1880's and
constitutes the initial collection of RSTK with examples on page 19 onwards. The almost exact example, in mirror image is on page 72.
The vase is marked underneath, as shown in the 'photos: Model marks 2075 and 50; An impressed oval with AUSTRIA impressed in it; the Crown impressed mark; the iron
red RStK mark and AMPHORA, partly legible above that.
Condition is very good. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort.
