Loading... Please wait...Antique long pendant earrings in the Georgian pendeloque style. High carat gold (at least 22k), small Basra natural pearls and emeralds. Exact date unknown, but
definately 19th century. Made in India during the Mughal era.
Measure approx 2 1/4 inches (5.5cm) long, not including the wires. Weigh 9.3grams.
These earrings are typical of the Georgian era with a surmount, large bow section in the middle and another elongated star shape drop underneath. Gold is very fine
and is minutely set with natural Basra pearls and emeralds. As is common in Indian jewellery, small green beads and more tiny pearls in clusters are suspended from
every border, giving a twinkling effect of constant movement. The wires are clearly new replacements.
Gold acid tested for at least 22k.
