Antique / Vintage earrings. High carat gold (at least 22carats), coral, pearls and tourmalines. Made in India first half of the 20th century. 

Measure a little over 1 1/2 inches (4cm) long, excluding the wires. Weigh 5.6grams. 

Sensuous, rounded, lobed shape, typical of Indian sensibility. Within an open tear, a golden star rises to a coral apex. Another coral bead is set within the concentric rings near the top. A trio of loops underneath the gold main body of the earings suspends wires with small pearls and pear-shaped pink tourmaline briolettes, ending in small golden granular terminals. These swing and sway as the wearer moves. 

The hinged wires with c-shaped hooks to secure them at the back are possibly replacements, but certainly not new. They make the earrings easy to insert and safe to wear. Very comfortable and look fabulous. 

No hallmarks, as is to be expected, but the gold was acid tested for at least 22k.
