Antique Edwardian necklace. 15carat gold set with aquamarines, rubies and half pearls. Made in England, circa 1910.

Measures 43.5cm (17.5 inches) long. Weighs 13.4grams. 

Exceptionally lovely example of a lavalier pendant necklace. Art Nouveau influence felt in the assymetrical design, scrolls, elongated elegance and pearl-set

butterfly perching on a scroll. The pearl and nature theme is further developed in the pairs of leaves on arched branches of gold. 6 gorgeous aquamarines: 4 circular

mixed cut of various sizes, the largest measuring 8mm in diameter; 2 pear/tear shaped aquamarines, the bigger measuring almost 14mm in length, suspended from knife

edge bars. . Colour of the aquamarines is well matched and they are bright and vibrant. 5 circular cut rubies, like buds on branches have a fabulous deep red glow

and form a perfect foil to the lighter aquas. 

Curb link back chain and bolt ring clasp. Great quality workmanship. Beautiful design. Size of the stones is not common in necklaces of this sort. 

Clasp is stamped 15ct.
