Ring is a US size 3 1/2 - 3 3/4 (sizeable). Weighs 2.9grams. 12X11mm including diamond border; approx 9X8mm garnet only.
Simple gold shank leads to a flat, beautifully made round/cushion shaped garnet, cut with simple facets and set within a border or rosecut diamonds.Top of setting,
holding the stones is silver, bottom and shank is gold. Utterly charming.
The back of the stone is entirely enclosed - in gold, which has the unusual feature of being very finely engraved with a flower and foliage. Georgian bright cut
engraving, beautifully executed.
No hallmarks, but gold holds for 18k.
Good, original condition.
