Antique Art Deco, torpedo long drop earrings. 18k gold, silver/platinum and onyx with rose cut diamonds. Made circa 1930.

1 7/8 inches long, excluding the wires. 

Art Deco elegance: long, lean and sophisticated. Gold wires. Tops are a double ring of silver/platinum ribbons set with rosecut diamonds, enclosing elongated, tear-

shaped onyx drops. The silver mounted band of diamonds snakes and coils around the onyx, adding 'wow' to the earrings. 18k gold wires are probably replacements,

which are very easy to insert and comfortable to wear.

The earrings are beautifully made with the high standards of workmanship synonymous with the Art Deco era.  

The rose cuts are set in metal that is either silver or platinum, but there is not adequate area to test it properly.  <P><P>
