Product Description

Antique Classic Revival carved cameo suite / parure. Consists of a pair of earrings, a bracelet and a pendant/brooch. Set in 14k gold. Made late 19th - early 20th

century.

Bracelet is approximately 7 1/2 inches long; brooch / pendant 2 inches in diameter (excluding the loop); Earrings are 1 1/2 inches long in total, with diameter of

drops being a little under 1 inch. Total weight 8.4grams.

Classic Roman Revival mythological theme relating to the gods and Time. Deeply carved relief cameos set in very pretty 14k gold mounts. Each of the 7 links of the bracelet with a

different Neo Classic scene of a charioteer, the chariot driven by a variety of forces, ranging from women, to roosters (chickens),  pheasants or peacocks, snakes

and of course horses. Similar scenes are depicted on the earrings.

The chariots of various mythological figures were drawn by different beasts, which are listed below this description.

THe brooch, also with a pie crust gold frame, has an outer circle of reserves, inside which is the

same scene as those on the bracelet. Within is a magnificently carved clock, the hands pointing to 12 o'clock. Can be worn as either a brooch or pendant.  Earrings

with surmounts of carved cameo flowers. Bracelet with arching round gold disks and links between each plaque.

Intrigueing theme and carving, subtle and highly attractive setting. The earrings have been converted to screw-ons, but can very easilly be restored to loops or

studs. Bracelet with a secure clasp.

All pieces have 14k gold hallmark.
