Antique miniature teapot. Carved from a champagne agate gemstone. Made in China, late 19th - early 20th century.  

Measurements: 3 1/4 inches high to the tip of the finial. Total length from edge of spout to edge of handle is approx 4 1/4 inches. Weighs 142.4grams.  

Carved from a smoky pink agate. Beautiful soft colour with a lovely transluscence. Stands on 3 chubby voluptious legs. Handle shaped like a bamboo stem, also beautifully round and full. Body is globular, in the form of a lotus flower. Beautifully carved petals. The domed lid very finely fluted and has an onion dome finial. Exquisite shape and wonderful use of the natural material.  

Condition is very good. No chips/cracks/damage of any sort to be found. There is one spot with natural darkening/flaw in the stone in one spot (see the 'photos), original to the stone and not any form of damage.
