Antique Art Nouveau / Arts and Crafts long chain necklace. 14k yellow gold and nephrite jade. Made 1880-1920's. 

Measurements: 48 inches long. Weighs 15 grams.  Size of jade from 4.00mm (smallest) to 7.00mm (largest)

Very long chain that can be wound a number of times around the neck and worn at different lengths and with different effects. 14k gold links alternate with sections

of triple green jade cabochons. Each trio consists of a pair of smaller gemstones with a larger one in the center. Jade is cut en cabochon and set so that the stones

are visible from both sides - a great advantage in case the chain gets twisted. Colour of the stones is medium green and stones are bezel set. Spring ring clasp. 

The overall effect is highly attractive and the necklace is great for finishing off any outfit, whether by day or night. Very well made. Elegant without too much

fusss. 

No hallmarks, but gold tests at least 14carat. 

Good, original condition.
