Bracelet is 7 1/4 inches long (not including tongue of clasp). Perfume bottle approx 1 3/8 inches long. Total weight 23.2grams.
The bracelet is classic, sturdy, very well made. The loops that constitute the chain are alternating platinum and red gold. The gold was acid tested. It stays for
18k and will be guarranteed at least 14k. Good, secure clasp, easy to open/close and a safety chain for extra security. No hallmarks. Bracelet probably dates to
early 20th century.
Attached to the bracelet is a wonderful charm pendant in the form of an amphora, perfume bottle. Typical Classic Revival, Neo Etruscan filigree and granulation on
the surface. Very elegant and attractive. The round top can be pulled open to reveal a full dauber. The perfume bottle can actually be used and would have been very
useful in the Victorian era, with it's plethora of bad odours. Appropriately, the chain of the perfume bottle is in red gold and platinum. The bottle is believed to
be earlier than the chain, possibly late Victorian, post 1880. No hallmarks.
Good condition.
