Antique Belle Epoque brooch / pin in the form of an insect. Made during the Belle Epoque (Beautiful) era, - late Victorian through Edwardian until WWI.

Measures just over 1 inch long. Weighs 5.1grams.

Great looking little creepy crawly with 14 carat gold wings, engraved for finer detail, little gold legs and feet, a pointy gold nose. Eyes are little rubies. The thorax is in the form of a lovely aquamarine while the rest of the abdomen is a honey-gold coloured, cabochon gemstone. Ruby and aquamarine were tested.

Hallmarked on the pin 14K.
