US size 7. Ring was given to a man and can be worn by either a man or a woman. Weighs 11.8 grams. Sapphire approx 1.50carats.
Tapering shank is entirely surrounded by moulded foliage. Overlapping leaves in a magnificent and rare Art Nouveau design with superb quality craftmanship. The center of the widest part (the top), is set with a cabochon sapphire - like a flower imbedded in leaves.
Inside the shank is the 18k hallmark and engraved inscription: Ilma to Joseph St. Moritz Aug 12 1904.
Condition of the ring is generally very good. Close inspection reveals that the sapphire has a shallow chip near the apex. This is shown in the enlarged 'photos.
