Measurements: US size 6.5. Weighs 8 grams. Total diamond weight approx 1.50ct; Emerald approx 1.25ct.
Square emerald. Indian cut. Lovely bright green colour. The Indians adored emeralds, which were usually imported by them from Columbia. The emerald is surrounded by
a border of 16 old cut diamonds which have a particularly bright flash and sparkle. The bezel is set quite high above the shoulders as though it is floating in
space. The shank has openwork gold shoulders with rosecut diamonds in a floral theme. This adds to the lightness of the look, and shows off the emerald to great
advantage.
No hallmarks, as to be expected, but gold was tested at least 22k.
Good condition.
