Antique / vintage bangle bracelet. 22carat gold, diamonds and Minakari / Minaar enamel work from India. Exact date not known, but believed to be early 20th century.
 

2 3/4 inches (7cm) in diameter. Inner diameter is 2 1/2 inches. (6.5cm).  Weighs 23.5 grams.

28 irregular shaped rose cut diamonds  - total approx 1.00ct.

Classic bangle bracelet. Gold almost entirely covered with a variety of enamelled decorations, including the fine naturalistic work known as minakari / minaar which

has become extremely rare. The outside of the bangle is red enamelled, set with diamonds in gold colette settings. The top and bottom  have very fine green and white

enamelling on the gold ground. The inside of the bangle is possibly the most spectacular, with extremely delicate hand-enamelled design of birds amongst foliage.

Colours on the gold are white, red, green and blue. 

Condition: generally very good condition, especially considering the age and delicate nature of the bangle. There is one small spot on the outside with red enamel

wear, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy.

This bracelet has been independantly appraised for $5500.-
