Measures 14 3/4 inches long. Weighs 35.5 grams. Amethyst weight: approx 85.00 ct.
Classic necklace. A series of faceted amethysts, foil backed to enhance colour and intensity, typical of the Georgian era. Colett set with zig-zag teeth edges. Each stone linked to the next by a few loops, allowing flexibility and movement. Deep golden colour tests for at least 18carat gold. Absolutely stunning when worn.
Tongue of clasp has a number of hallmarks on both sides, somewhat worn, including a rectangle with ET initials (probably for the maker).
Good condition.
